Join outgoing Kairauhī Curator Robbie Handcock for his final event with Artspace Aotearoa. In this Deep dive lecture, Robbie will reflect on what he has learned during his time in the role covering areas such as the artist as curator, talking to audience, and the problem with the label of “emerging”.
The lecture will be followed by a Q&A.

BIOGRAPHY
Robbie Handcock is an artist and curator who grew up across Australia, the Philippines, and Aotearoa and is currently Kairauhī Curator at Artspace Aotearoa. Handcock has worked for a number of contemporary art institutions across Aotearoa, including play_station in Te Whanganui-A-Tara and Gus Fisher Gallery in Tāmaki Makauru, and was a guest curator for Te Tuhi in 2021. He has also contributed to the artworld in other roles, such as a member of the Satellites Curatorial Group and as host of the CIRCUIT podcast series Popular Glory.
