Evacuation Tapes, a reading by Ruth Buchanan
Kaitohu Director and artist Ruth Buchanan will present a live interpretation of her artwork and published collection Evacuation Tapes (2019). This spoken word work will explore the construction of the self and the ways in which our bodies and their abilities impact our capacity to participate within society. She will use her voice, rhythm, repetition, and simple actions within the gallery and current exhibition The Blue Dome by Selina Ershadi.
